In 2009, Legal Aid provided high quality legal services to over 2,000 low-income children, families, and seniors. Our clients are people you encounter everyday from the elderly grandmother at the library to the fellow parent in your child’s kindergarten class. They are people like Geri who is establishing a new life for her family, away from an abusive boyfriend; people like Alan who needs healthcare services for his asthmatic daughter; and people like Alma who was incorrectly told she was ineligible for food stamps.

Thanks to donors like you, we can help more Geris, Alans, and Almas. Consider the benefits of your donation:

• $150 will help make potential clients aware of our services through educational brochures

• $250 will help us pay for Language Line Services, so that clients can receive translation services

• $500 enables adults and seniors to receive advice about medical debt

• $750 enables the parent of a child with a disability to receive advice about early intervention services

• $1000 enables us to seek solutions to legal barriers at the city, county, state and national level that can potentially affect thousands of unknown lives

• $3000 pays for tenant clinics as part of our HomeSavers project, where residents can consult with an attorney about problems with landlords

• $5000 enables survivors of domestic violence to be represented at trial
