PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The Legal Aid Society provides free legal advice and assistance to disadvantaged people who are serving in a caregiver role. To see if you are eligible for Legal Aid help, please call (650) 558-0915. Guardianship Pro Bono Project is directed at grandparents, relatives, and others who are seeking to become a court-ordered guardian. Legal Aid helps in the following areas:
Prepare court filings In San Mateo County alone, as many as 10,000 children are being raised by someone other than their own parents.* Many times, guardianship is just the first step in the legal process to securing a childs well being.
