PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Legal Aid Society provides free legal advice and assistance to low-income residents of San Mateo County. To request an appointment, please call (650) 558-0915.

The HomeSavers Project helps tenants who are having problems with their landlords. We offer legal counseling, advice and representation in the following areas:

• Evictions
• Disputes over the condition of the premises
• Illegal acts by landlords

Legal Aid holds weekly clinics in which residents are welcome to drop in and speak to an attorney. The clinics serve about 100 tenants each month.  Our clinics are located at:
