After three incredible decades, we are announcing the close of the annual Legal Aid SMC Golf Classic. Since hosting our very first Golf Classic in 1992 at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club, local law firms and corporations have joined us to support Legal Aid SMC’s work. Golfers have competed for thirty-two years to take home the coveted Sponsor’s Trophy, engraved with the names of the new winning team every year.
The tournament was a vital source of support for our mission and we are grateful to everyone who joined us over the years to support legal services for our neighbors. In early July, we hosted a final day of golf at the new TopGolf in Burlingame, joined by members of our Golf Classic committee and golfers from our sponsoring law firms. Together we enjoyed a beautiful day on the driving range playing virtual golf courses and minigames while connecting over past tournaments and looking toward the future of Legal Aid.
